Grandfather loved that old pond. Each Summer as we arrived we would see him sitting in his chair. He'd wave as we drove by. He always met us in the field running, arms wide open with a big smile on his face. It seemed he enjoyed us visiting as much as we enjoyed coming. Now that he's passed it's so very hard to see that empty chair. I still wander down by the pond and talk with him. I believe his body may have left us but his soul lives on down by the pond in grandfathers garden.
